“ Chiffon Culture is a cute place to get a sweet treat. I came in on Saturday afternoon, not too crowded. I wasn't sure how much of each item would be left, considering I came later in the afternoon, but to my surprise each display case was completely filled. The employee who originally took care of me was very helpful! She was patient when I didn't know what I wanted and even offered to warm up my pastry that I bought. There was also another employee who I talked to before I left who was telling us more about the store, the variety of items and their second location. Overall customer service was great. I ordered as follows: Basque cheesecake: cooked perfectly, good size, but I wish it was just a tad sweeter Cookie croissant: you can tell just by looking at the croissant that they laminate in house and it shows with the flavor of it. I would say I'd like it more flaky, but I honestly had no complaints about the croissant dough besides that. It was filled with a small amount of Nutella and topped with chocolate chip cookie dough. I liked that none of the flavors were overwhelming and you could taste each part individually. Strawberry cheesecake cube croissant: this was exactly as expected. Not my favorite only because when baking croissant dough in a formed container compared to how its baked traditionally, it can hold the dough back a bit making the texture of the dough more dense, but it's trendy and I still wanted to try it! The strawberry cheesecake flavor was very sweet. Chocolate rolled cake: tastes just as it looked! Not too unique in flavor but it's a simple item done right. The only thing I'd say is that it was a little dry. Mango mousse cake: this was my favorite item that we purchased. Two layers of soft chiffon cake and two layers of mango mousse. It's covered in a mango gelee and topped with whipped cream and fruit. The sweet mango flavor reminded me of the soft Manila mangos you'd get at the Asian market. The flavors complimented each other perfectly. The only thing I'd change would be to add a crunch element in there, because it was all very soft. Overall I love this place. I had a great time and I'll be coming back often to try all the other desserts. ”
“ Got a bacon & potato croissant and a pistachio croissant. It's good but a bit greasy Good service ”
“ I love this place. I've been here four times so far and everything I've tried has been so delicious. Highly recommend! ”
“ Now this is a bakery! The croissants and pastries are perfectly crafted with complimentary flavors and textures. Now when I went I went a little over board and ordered almost everything they had but I just loved it so much. Do not sleep on the savory pastries they are the sleeper hits! Anything with the garlic butter they make in house is delicious. Very well executed and they now have a new fan. Don't just get one thing! It's all good! ”
“ Ah, Chiffon Culture, successor of the late beloved Sugar Dough Bakehouse. A tough act to follow, and as such they have not strayed too far from the original vision imparted by the genius behind Light on The Sugar. At face value this business aesthetically matches its predecessor to a tee, down to the choice of food and drink it has to offer. It is a cozy location that's just big enough to avoid being cramped. While the establishment looked well maintained, the dubious presence of a couple flies around the berries put doubts in my mind. That said, it can understandably difficult to shield an open air setup from such pests, especially during the hot summer months where they multiply in myriad. But getting to the most important part, the food, the presentation was highly unique. I can't say I've ever seen a croissant in the shape of a cube before. Specifically the Strawberry Cheesecake Croissant Cube had a delightful filling. However, i'm not sure a cube is the optimal shape for a croissant to achieve that signature flaky doughy wonder that attracts me to them much like the flies are attracted to the fresh strawberry on top. The Taro Latte presented a pleasant looking royal purple drink which tasted much as you'd expect if you're a fan of taro. On that note for taro fans, it is a shame this establishment does not maintain the taro flavors that Sugar Dough had previously espoused as a flagship product. Overall I will definitely be returning to this bakery in the future given the chance to sample some of the other offerings they have on display because they honestly all look quite delectable and while I wasn't particularly impressed by the croissant cube I think the novelty of eating a cube was enough to tide me over through my first visit. Best of Luck to this establishment may the odds be ever in your favor. ”
“ One of my favorite places to visit is a bakery. On my visit to Chiffon Culture, which has been on my list for a while, I enjoyed something sweet and savory. The much raved about Cube Croissant was very good. There was plenty of strawberry Cheesecake in the middle. My other item was the bacon and potato croissant. It was a little on the greasy side for my taste. My daughter enjoyed the Strawberry and Mascarpone Cheese croissant. The service was excellent and the bakery was clean. There are several spots to sit and enjoy your treats. But, on a busy day you would most likely have to get them to go. ”
“ The cutest little place to stop and have a coffee and a pastry. Was excited they had savory pastries, including spring onion buns, Korean hotdog, garlic and cheese, and loved their garlic ham and cheese croissant! Found their prices were really reasonable and it was a nice snack size bakery, where it wasn't too much food and the cost was good. The vibe in there the behind the counter was "on it" by the team, were very efficient and courteous, very nice work. The music was fun and the place was clean. Will definitely be back to try all the baked goods and I was eyeing the square croissant for next time. Love it! ”
“ I recently tried the mango mousse cake and the cheesecake croissant cube at Chiffon Culture Bakery Cafe. While I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and friendly service, I have to admit that I found the mango mousse cake to be a tad too sweet for my liking, with a slightly artificial taste. As for the cheesecake croissant cube, while it didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of having a rich cheesecake filling, I found it to be decent overall. Despite these minor shortcomings, the ambiance and service definitely contributed positively to my visit, and I would consider giving some of their other offerings a try in the future. ”
“ All the croissants in all shapes! What Well I heard they had the viral cookie croissant so ofcourse I tried it. Not as impressed by the concept... maybe if the croissant was a little warm it would be better...? Not sure... the croissant was really good though! Very crispy and nice, the cookie was ok. Also got the Korean donut with custard filling, the filling was not too sweet. They also have drinks menu. Lattes and teas Environment In a plaza, by Kelly's homemade ice cream. Parking can get busy as there are so many good places here. Seating inside can also be limited, there are two tables outside and probably like 4 tables inside. Very small space....best if you are buying Togo... Niceness of the staff Very friendly and patient staff. Dollar Average price, it was around $4 for each item. Yes Id go again. Maybe more as a take out but not go if I wish to sit and hang with friends as it can get limited ”
“ The cutest bakery inside! They have a variety of baked goods and if you don't see one you like, they could be making it right now! Just ask, we got lucky and had to wait five minutes for the one we want. The staff was also so nice and patient, even if there was a long line behind us. My favorite was the garlic cream cheese bread and the korean hot dog. The garlic cream cheese bread reminded me of a garlic knot with a hint of sweet cream. Perfect balance between sweet and umami. ”
